Our feature today is from Chantal Lachance-Gibson Photography and she has not only done a wonderful job of capturing their wedding but also has wrote a lovely story to take you on their journey.
So without further ado please join me on Fiona and Michael's Wedding day retold...

Today the lovely Fiona and Michael are on the blog. They married at Pollok House at the beginning of May and what an amazing day it was. The weather was perfect! Warm and just overcast enough to get the most amazing and beautiful lighting. They were such a fun couple whom made us feel like such a part of their day including their family!
Fiona and Michael now live in Atlanta, Georgia in America so Fiona’s parents did most of the organising. We actually met with her parents for our consultation meeting which was a great little evening! We met in the Ivory and we happened to go when this great little band was playing. They chatted to us about how the plans were going and what Fiona and Michael were like and even brought a picture which was really sweet. We walked away from the meeting knowing that this day was going to be extra special since the whole family got involved in the planning of it. We felt like we knew them already when we met them for their pre-wedding shoot a few weeks before the big day. Have a look!
Needless to say when the day arrived it did not take me long to see how amazing they had done. Every single detail was perfect. Everything was thought of including beautiful robes for Fiona and her bridesmaid to wear for preps. We enjoyed photographing every single detail of this wedding from beginning to end. We felt so honoured to be a part of it and to have been welcomed in! They all did such an outstanding job of it despite the couple being in another country! I absolutely adored the soft vintage wedding feel to it!
The photo session itself was such a laugh! Michael kept on making Fiona laugh and her smile is just so catchy (which I am sure you will see from these photos) which was just perfect for making their photos look even that much more natural. To add to our session, we even had a few photo bombers!! My dear friend Kristin from Struve photography was also out doing an engagement session! was funny to see her in the background in one of the photos and have cracked some jokes about it since then. Shortly after bumping into Kristin I had Fiona and Michael in the doorway of one of the towers and a gorgeous dog happened to walk into the shot. Turns out it is the same breed as their dog back home in Atlanta. What a lovely coincidence!!!
Ahhhh I want this wedding!
